Surgery Center of Allentown.

Protect your health with a colon cancer screening at a local gastroenterology center.

Each year, tens of thousands of Americans die from colon cancer. In fact, 60 to 90 percent of colon cancer deaths could be prevented if everyone over 45 got a colonoscopy.

Why a Colonoscopy?

Did you know that there’s been an increase in colorectal cancer diagnosis in younger adults?

If you’re 45 years old, schedule your colonoscopy today.

Colorectal cancer is preventable if found in an early stage. A colonoscopy is the only screening exam that not only checks for cancer, but also treats it by removing cancerous polyps.

What Are the Symptoms of Colon Cancer?

Colon cancer will often present no symptoms and can be fatal if diagnosed late. Should symptoms occur, they may include:

  • Blood in your stool
  • A change in bowel habits
  • Unexplained pain in your stomach
  • A lump in your abdomen
  • Reduced appetite or unexplained weight loss
  • Dizziness, tiredness or breathlessness

Make Your Health a Priority

If you’re over 45, don’t put off colon cancer screening any longer.

Fill out this form or give us a call, and a member of our care team would be glad to schedule an appointment at a time that fits your schedule!

Today I had my first colonoscopy. Although I just turned 30 I had it done because I lost my mother to stage 4 colon cancer when she was 46. The peace of mind I now have is indescribable. Everything went great and I won’t need to have another for 10 years. I hope that if you are able to have this procedure that you don’t take that chance for granted. I’m truly happy that I took this step and grateful for the news!
